Tillandsia rothii is one of the most spectacular tillandsia. It can grow to be large and colorful with a similar shape to Tillandsia xerographica but the leaves are an attractive yellow-green and can blush to cherry red when blooming or grown in bright light conditions. This species is an introgressive hybrid between Tillandsia roland-gosselini and Tillandsia jaliscomonticola.
