Bulbosa Gigante

Tillandsia bulbosa Gigante is a rare, phenomenal clone of this species because it grows to be so HUGE, sometimes reaching 24″ (60 cm) from leaf tip to leaf tip, which is a real show stopper when it is in bloom with all the cherry red color and amethyst flowers.  This one is a “must have.” As a tip, in nature Tillandsia bulbosa tends to grow sideways to upside down to prevent water from collecting in the base of the plant that may cause it to rot.
