Air plant Tillandsia usneoides (Spanish Moss) El Raro is maybe the most interesting form and certainly the rarest. It is a slow growing, smaller form with tight curls. Very beautiful.

This usneoides is very curly, with medium thickness and has a good coloration of silver/green. It is surprisingly very heavy for the size and I think that’s because the curliness makes it seem small but actually has a lot of mass. It is certainly different than other spanish moss and it’s lovely. However, it really does need a fan blowing over it for awhile after watering it just because it is so dense.
