Mystic Trumpet

Air plant Tillandsia Mystic Trumpet is another one of the wonderful T. albertiana hybrids Mark Dimmitt created in the 1980s.  It’s quite a series and all these T. albertiana hybrids he made  are interesting in their own way.  This one is marvelous because of the influence of the huge, white bloom of T. xiphioides (ziph-ee-oh-EE-des) with the brilliant cherry bloom of T. albertiana.
